Influence of speed on the dynamic simulation

In the dynamic model, you can vary the speed which is simulated. The chosen speed influences the aerodynamic force on the vehicle, as well as the time lag for the 'road input' between the front and rear axle.
LapSim gives you the option to disregard either influences.
Maximum of 5 input areas (= 40 [sec] simulation)

The input of the model is divided into 8 seconds parts which you define. You can add or delete extra 8 sec parts.
In order to add an extra 8 [sec] area select the button "Add input: .... " as can be seen in the figure.

New area
A new area appears which is flat without any handling input.
You can subsequently choose what kind of road input signal you wish to combine with a handling manoeuvre.
Direct in the 'Input 7 poster' menu, or ....

in order to select the input out of any other menu of the LapSim GUI, please select the area you want to alter in the 'Input 7 poster' menu.
Once the input menu is selected, you can click on the other areas in the figure in order to select them.

Deleting an input area
If an area is selected, a button above the area appears which gives the user the option to delete this area.

Examples
In the three exemples you see examples of respectively
Top figure: Corners with a curb
Middle figure: Frequency swap to analyse body eigenfreqeuncy
Bottom figure: Bump riding straight and in a corner
Change input or setup parameter

If you change a vehicle parameter or an input parameter, the button 'Calculate New Run' will appear on the top left of the LapSim GUI.
Click on the button to start a simulation run.

Using the setup sheet
If you want to recalculate a simulation without changing a parameter, select the setup sheet. On the left top, the same button "Calculate New Run" is available, regardless whether you have changed a parameter.
